SIS Girls Win Gold Again at Int AA Flag Football Provincials!

S'Side Intermediate Win Girls AA Flag Football!
It was another very exciting championship game for the PEISAA “AA” gold medal, as East Wiltshire and the SIS Dolphins battled it out in overtime for the second straight season to decide the champion.  The Dolphins opened the scoring on a touchdown pass from quarterback Katie Acorn to Reghan Betts to give SIS a 6-0 lead.  However, before halftime East Wilshire scored a touchdown to tie the game 6-6 going into the half. 
In the second half, SIS scored a touchdown on a pass from Acorn to wide receiver Andrea Caron.  East Wiltshire once again tied the game midway through the second half to send the game into overtime.  Both teams scored on their first possession in overtime and then Lauren Clark scored the game winning touchdown on a pass from Acorn while the Dolphins defense led by Paige MacLean shut down East Wilshire on their last possession in overtime to give the Dolphins their second straight Provincial AA championship.
In the bronze medal game, the Mount beat KISH 25-24 in a very close game to claim third place at the Provincials.
