RURAL DEFEATS COLONELS, WILL PLAY TOSH FOR GOLD

A large worked-up crowd had the players appearing nervous, as shots bounced off the rims in both ends in the first quarter, and Rural edged ahead 12-6. The pace in second quarter picked up and offensive rebounding was a bonus for both teams, Rural moved ahead 34-22 at the break on the strength of 3 treys by Logan MacCallum.
The second half saw Rural gain control of the boards and hit some shots as they coasted to a 71-37 victory.
The Raiders and Three Oaks Axemen will tangle at 8pm on Tuesday at UPEI for the gold medal. Col Gray and Westisle will play for bronze at 4, also at UPEI
MacCallum and Jose Chrisostome each had 10 and Thomas Hogan had 8 plus 11 boards for the Raiders. Top Colonels were Yahya Sefau and Keegan Cary each with 8 and Jeremy Norman with 7
